March 29, 2012 (Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands) — With the eagerly anticipated Cayman Invitational being less than a month away, enthusiasts wanting to see award winning track stars in action can now purchase tickets for the event.
The one day competition will take place at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex on May 9th and will feature over eighty professional track athletes. Event organiser Cydonie Mothersill is expecting a packed crowd and in an attempt to ensure that everyone gets the opportunity to share in the excitement, ticket prices are reasonable and available at easily accessible locations.
Ticket details are as follows:
Finish Line area seating is $35 (adults & children)
General seating at T.E. McField Grandstand is $30 (adults) and $12 (children under 12)
Mackie Seymour Stadium seating is $20 (adults) and $10 (children under 12).
Tickets are available at all LIME retail store locations, Funky Tangs and JN Money Transfer.
The lineup for the inaugural event includes such notables as American 100/200m runner Carmalita Jeter, ranked number one in the world in 2011; Dylan Armstrong, whose career highlights include being the Canadian record holder and current world number one in shot put; Novlene Williams-Mills, the Jamaican women’s 400m two time world champion; Michael Frater, member of the Jamaican 4x100 meter World Record holder team; and Bahamian Olympic medalist Chris Brown who is currently ranked number four in the world for men’s 400m.
“With this star studded line-up competing for the first time in Cayman, we want everyone to come out and be a part of the excitement,” concluded Mothersill.
